For southern Ontario and western NY SportsJournalists.commers of a certain vintage who can remember:

...Uncle Bobby (RIP) and the Hilarious House of Frightenstein

    ...Rocketship 7 and Commander Tom

...Biff Beeper, Promo The Robot and Dustmop

...the great ads Arte Johnson did for the Blue Jays in their first season

...Joey from Super Duper. "Not 49 cents, not 39 cents, only 29 cents!"

...Strikes, Spares and Misses with Chuck Healy

...the Baby Blue Movie on CITY

    ...the Toronto Blizzard and/or Metros-Croatia

    ...sold-out Argo games

...All Star Wrestling on Sunday nights at Maple Leaf Gardens. Always advertised in the paper as an "exhibition of science and strength".

..."Me and the boys and our 50, me and the boys and our beer."

  3. Also played Mr. Baris, the officious Federation bureaucrat in charge of the Sherman's Planet project, in The Trouble With Tribbles.

When TV dinners came in alumnium foil instead of plastic.
When Horn & Hardart was open and had the best damn pie next to your mom's or grandmom's?

Schallert is still at it - I was stunned to see him on an episode of Close to Home last season - this guy should get a lifetime Emmy.

I've ignored this thread because there's no way I could come up with something before everyone else did first.

However, according to the Google button up top, no one has mentioned Phil Rizzuto & The Money Store.

Funny thing is I'm two days older than our pal Spinited.

Rocketship 7 & Commander Tom was my favorite.
