    From ancient history, Stonehenge and Easter Island. From this country, the Roanoke colony, though I really just want to my suspicion confirmed that Chief Powhatan killed the first batch and banged the second.

    But for the last century, definitely DB Cooper.

    Johnny Gosch and Eugene Martin, the 2 Des Moines-area paperboys who vanished in about 1982.

    As an Iowa boy, had every kid in the state terrified they were next.

    No. A grand jury in Portland indicted him in absentia. It would merely be a continuation of the case if he were to surface.

    Historically it's more pressing than Shakespeare's authorship, which is a settled matter.
