I will never understand lettuce on a burger.

Monterey Jack cheese and New Mexican chiles on top of the burger (1/2-inch thick patty); grilled onions, Wickles and ketchup under the burger; toasted bun; lettuce tossed in the yard for the rabbits to eat.

Why anyone would ruin a perfectly good burger with mushrooms is beyond me.

Personally, I think lettuce adds a little something to the burger, as long as you got tomato with it.
For me, if your talking restaurant/fast food, I'll generally have it as they fix it, except I'll always hold the pickles (can't stand them). I try to stay away from ketchup on my burger, although not many places I see anymore automatically add it. And I would always love to pick up a western bacon cheeseburger from Carl's Jr. (although I tend to stay away from them now that I'm a little older).

When my mom would fix hamburgers, I always had it with tomatoes, cheese (if it was available) and lettuce if we had it. The condiments would be mustard and Miracle Whip mixed up on the top bun and BBQ sauce on the bottom bun.

Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.

Mustard, ketchup, pickles, raw onions are the go to.

But if I'm ordering, the works. An occasional blue cheese burger. Bacon often. Rarely, mushroom and swiss.

Whataburger’s spicy ketchup is the superior ketchup.

If you've never put a couple slices of bacon and an over-easy egg on a burger......do it.

    You're welcome.
