Songbird has it right: diced onions and mustard. Maybe, once in a while, pickle relish.

    No ketchup.

    Mustard, relish, diced raw onion.

    Add sauerkraut sometimes at Costco.

Add cole slaw to a Montreal steamie for "le tout garnie".

    Never boiled…

Unless you have properly pre-salted the water.

I am a hotdog man to the core.
There are several variations, depending mainly on what is available at the time and place, but don't stray.:
Group 1 - mix as available
    Mustard, chili, onions, slaw
    Group 2
    Sauerkraut, mustard

As with burgers, the proportions have to be correct. You have to be able to pick it up and eat it without getting it all over your face or spilling it on your shirt. I like a Chicago dog, but it's too unwieldy to eat.

For a plain hot dog, it's just mustard for me most of the time, although I've stuck a halved tomato slice in there from time to time, and maybe bacon or bacon bits when available.

Of course, I like a good chili dog too, with mustard and cheese.

Mustard and raw onions. If jalapenos are available, absolutely. Ketchup? No. Mayo? Abso-freaking-lutely not.

I've been shamed into holding the ketchup on my dogs.

First of all, you gotta have the natural casing. You’re living your worst life if you settle for the five-for-a-buck dogs.

If we get there, then often it’s plain. Or with ketchup (I know). I despised mustard as a kid. We’re on better terms now, but I still can’t put it on a frank.

I had a Seattle dog once. I love Seattle, but I don’t know WTF those people were thinking in pairing hot dogs with cream cheese.

As a veteran eater, hot dogs are the easiest things to eat in the car. No condiments to save the shirt.
    Chicken strips are next.
You can probably do a burger OK, but you still run the risk of drips.
