I still haven't seen anyone explain how the Phillies will make it to the World Series with one ace and four mediocre pitchers.

They're like the Rangers, their pitching is unpredictable and nine times out of 10, they'll need to outscore you to win.

I'm interested in what happens that tenth time, myself.

Rays 4, Cubs 3, America laughs.

Cubs-White Sox. Pale Hose in 4.

That would be the greatest thing to happen in the history of mankind.

I mean, I don't like the White Sox either, but the Cubs are in basement level of hell on the shit list. So yes, that would be the preferred option should the Cubs make the World Series.

The by-product of Chicagoans puffing their chests about how great they are would be regrettable, but still worth northside humiliation.

I've found hate of the Cubs makes for strange bedfellows. I find my conversations with Cardinals fans are much more cordial with that kind of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" type of vibe.

Who knew the Cubs could unite so many of us?

That anti-Cub feeling even makes some people pick avatars that seem downright strange to many.

Yeah. I'm thinking you went about 10 Pabst's over the line when decided to do that.

Eh, now that the Brewers are in the NL, they're harmless. Unless they play the Sox in the WS. That would be my dream matchup this year, but I give that about a 1 percent chance of happening.

I'm sticking with my preseason prediction: Red Sox over Mets in six.

Yeah, Bubbs, those Cubs fans are such assholes, as opposed the self-proclaimed best fucking fans in the history of baseball.
