I'm a Sox fan, but would love to see the Cubs win this year.
If Tampa makes the playoffs, they're going to be very tough to beat in a short series and I don't think Boston's top of the rotation matches Tampa's.

Red Sox over Phillies in 4.

Angels over the Brewers in 5.
And, once again, the ALCS decides it. No one in the NL touches the top four (or six) in the AL.

The Cubs biggest obstacle in the NL could be a first round matchup with Arizona. Even if they are under .500, the Dbacks could be a dangerous out with Webb and Haren in a short series. Even more so if Johnson sees any return to his old form.

    Huh?

Two words: Josh Beckett. Perhaps you should familiarize yourself with his post-season history.

The Rays just don't have somebody like that. And please don't start with Kazmir. He's not on that level and even at his best, he struggles to get through seven innings.

You got it. I'm a fanboi, no doubt, and the Rays rotation is good, but they aren't on the same level as the Sox.
Even a guy like Kazmir (usually) goes only about 5 or 6 innings against the Sox since they take so many pitches...

I could definitely see it being Red Sox v. Cubs in the WS; Sox win in 6.

    I'll say:

Red Sox over Twins, Angels over Rays.
Red Sox over Angels in 6.

Cubs over Diamondbacks, Mets over Brewers.
    Mets over Cubs in 7.

Red Sox over Mets in 6.

    Gah, I hate that pick.

    Rockies over Cubs in NLCS
Red Sox over Rays in ALCS

    Rockies 4, Red Sox 3. ;D

Yeah, all the Rockies have to do is finish .500 and then get on one of those fall streaks in October. Egads.
