Pats fans, for real draft horror, go back and check out their AFL pre-merger drafts. Franchise had no money to sign anyone, so they specializing in drafting players from New England colleges, possibly as regional flag-waving.

PS: Too bad Pumpy Tudors didn't make it. Lots of possibilities for headline writers in that name.

What the 1992 draft lacked in talent, they made up in name cache...Siran, Ephesians, Pumpy

My two-word answer is Aundray Bruce. Pressed for more, though, and I'd say the Falcons' worst would be an tie between 1966-1995 and 1999-2007.

    The 2003 Browns draft.

Good news: they got a Pro Bowler.

Bad news: He's a long snapper.

I really thought Bruce would be a hell of a pro.

What makes this even worse is their 2006 draft:
    1. (15th overall) Tye Hill DB Clemson
    2. (46) Joe Klopfenstein TE Colorado
    3. (68) Claude Wroten DT LSU
    3. (77) Jon Alston LB Stanford
    3. (93) Dominique Byrd TE USC
    4. (113) Victor Adeyanju DE Indiana
    5. (144) Marques Haggans WR Virginia
    7. (221) Tim McGarigle LB Northwestern
    7. (242) Mark Setterstrom G Minnesota
    7. (243) Tony Palmer G Missouri

By 2010, I think they had one player left from the entire 2006-07 draft classes. It's almost like Matt Millen and whoever the Rams GM was at this time had a "Trading Places" type bet going to see who could build an 0-16 team the fastest.

Did anybody else read the Randy Woodfield link a few pages back? Did I read that he was busted a dozen times for flashing while in the Packers training camp? The guy must have run around without pants before and after every practice. Maybe during, too.

I read that and thought it was disturbingly prolific. The whole story was just disturbing. I had never heard of this guy. Can't believe I had never seen anything about him on A&E or Biography or any of the murder channels.

My guess is Woodfield's crime spree was overshadowed by other bigger named serial killers and even with the NFL connection the story never got legs.

Serial killers flock to the PNW for some reason.

I remember people being heartened that a Missouri player was actually drafted in one of the first three rounds.

That's how horrible those Bob Stull teams were.
