'Scuse me. Am I the only one to show love for The Fugitive?

That was a great fuckin' movie I've watched at least a dozen times.

When the light shoots through the medallion, for whatever reason, I still get chills.

    1. The Godfather I-III. (Yes, it is necessary to watch all three. Yes, III is a huge comedown. But I and II were probably the greatest English-language movies ever made. Although III was a huge comedown, it WAS nominated for BP and probably should have won [Dances With Wolves?!?!] ).

    2. The Grapes of Wrath.

    3. The Paper.

    4. Apollo 13.

    5. The Dark Knight.

    6. Blazing Saddles.

    7. Animal House.

    8. Star Wars, Eps. 3-7. Nothing happens in 1-2 you REALLY need to see. Pick up the story with ROTS.

    9. Dazed and Confused. Hey, I was Class of '76. Linklater got it right.

    10. On The Beach.

No, it absolutely is NOT necessary to watch all three, because III never happened as far as I'm concerned. It deserved to nominated for nothing other than perhaps Stoney's most disappointing movie-going experience ever.

sorry, but the shining was one of the most boring-ass movies known to man.

  10. 1. Raiders of the Lost Ark
    2. Star Wars: A New Hope
    3. A Christmas Story
    4. National Lampoon's Vacation
    5. WarGames
    6. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
    7. Stalag 17
    8. Top Secret
    9. Back to the Future
    10. North by Northwest

(Airplane!, Rear Window, and Hoosiers are honorable mentions)

Gonna give this a shot, though I'm not a movie buff and will probably catch hell for most of my picks:

    1. Roadhouse
    2. Bad Boys (starring Sean Penn and Esai Morales)
    3. Fast Times at Ridgemont High
    4. Pale Rider
    5. Baby Boy
    6. A League of Their Own
    7. 48 Hours
    8. Fletch
    9. High Plains Drifter
    10. Friday

I think Danced with Wolves gets far more grief than it deserves, though I would have taken Goodfellas over it and Godfather III. But Godfather III should have won? Wow, no, just, no.

It's about father/son relationships. the first time I saw it after my father died I started bawling at the final scene.
