A few of my SJ faves, in no particular order.

    BYH and 8 seconds.

The time Dog wished Bob Jelenic would die a horrible death from cancer, and the reaction.

The Movie Scenes that Make You Cry thread ... which was the first time I posted.

The uproar over Yawn's post that journalists were covering the Iraq war from a hotel room in Amman.

The live updates of WWE pay-per-views on the Pro Wrestling thread. It's as fun to follow as Dave Meltzer's reviews.

The fun of the Politics board during the last election.

And SJ has provided me with a considerable number of laughs (for some reason, the title of the thread Thelma, Louise and some guy cracked me up yesterday), and I've even learned a few things (such as Ray Fosse never playing for the Brewers). It's been almost two years since I began posting, and I lurked for almost as long before doing so.

I've had a lot of fun. Thanks to SportsJournalists.com.

Oh, that's what the balcony in Amman references mean. I enjoy this thread even if I wasn't around for a lot of this stuff.

I miss JDV or is it JVD? ..I could never keep it straight.

He was the most thoroughly infuriating and entertaining poster --all at the same time.

    Bandwagon Boy was briefly hilarious.

... soggy, flacid, splitting tubes of rotting meat floating in buckets of malodorous swill ...

Should there be a rancid in there? I feel like something is missing. Can we get Wahoo Sam in here? Starman?

You're probably right. I haven't conjured the quote in a while.
After reading it to myself, I think it's supposed to be 'fetid buckets of malodorous swill ..'
The poesy brings a tear to my eye.
    Bravo, Wahoo.

All the good threads seem to be the locked ones.

    Bubbler's ATF threads

The first couple of weeks of 'stoob neighbor thread

The shreek of horror when I posted the pic of me making the first incision on my toe. (yes, I took a pic and posted it....I was a good 12-pack of Coors into it.)

A whole slug of threads involving creole (the Emil Shuffhausen reaction was beautiful and many of the softball threads.....embassy row and the groundhog......byh and a whole bunch of stuff)

The IJAG-Jacoby stuff never gets old.

    JDV.......never mind.

Oh he played for the Brewers, extraordinarily briefly in 1979, but never in an All-Star Game for Milwaukee. ;)

He did play long enough to produce the most ubiquitous card in the 1980 Topps set though. Even I hated it. I'd rather get Jim Wohlford or Bob Galasso.
