Actually had two appearances in the OF over his last five ML seasons -- one in '77, one in '79. His last two "years" were just seven games in '80 and one in '82.

The Antarctica / Holiday Inn thread was a classic. And so was the denouement of the Prancing Billy Series.

How about Chef starting a thread complaining about the level of personal service he received at Dairy Queen while he clogged the line getting a free Dilly Bar?

Well, now make that two threads that I've messed up with inaccurate information thanks to Mr. Fosse.

And as a youngster, I always liked the upper part of the card where it gave the player's position. I always thought it was unique when a guy had two positions, or I saw him on TV playing a different position than the one on his baseball card.

Of course, I was 7 at the time.

    Has (briefly) risen again!

    - The great outpouring for Tripp McNeely will always be my favorite moment.
    - The fact the Geek Thread lasted as long as it did.
    - When creamora came trying to peddle his wares, which may or may not have included information useful to sports journalists, and a group rose up to shout him down at every turn. That was not so much a good moment, but it was certainly an interesting lesson about the Internet.
