A lot of time has passed. No need to out them to those who were not around.

Another favorite - when Scott Newman - friend of Tom Jolly, joined to pontificate on
    state of sports journalism. Enjoy:

The plane crash thread after Aaliyah died. I seem to remember Roberto Clemente, Thurman Munson, Richie Valens and just about every other person who died in a plane crash post on that thread. I was in tears from laughing so hard.

    The whole Monday/Sportswriter debacle.

Clubber's A Day in the Life of Hockeybeat.

I'm pretty sure nothing will ever be funnier than that was in that time and place. Now, looking back at it, looking at it with memories of what it was at the time, still hilarious. But those who weren't around wouldn't get it.

    But Christ, it was perfect.

I think I lost my copy of it when my last computer crashed. If someone has held on to it over the years, if they could send it along, I would appreciate it. :D

Thanks. I recall not being able to determine which one of them was the bigger douche canoe. That "natural" thing didn't work out well for either McGwire or JDV.

Intrigued, I went Googling for him - just to see what he's been up to lately. I can't find anything more current than 2010. That seems odd. Or my Google Ninja skills are slipping.

I'm not sure anything has made me laugh harder than when Chris L spoiled The Wire for Dick Whitman. It was an asshole move but damn was the meltdown after priceless.

Damn you're right. His posts abruptly stop in 2010. Up to the point, he was rolling along on the Twitter/Youtube crazy train like he always had.

This cannot stand. For all of our disagreements amongst members past and present, I think JDV is the tie that binds us all.

    We have to find him.
