Maybe it's just my circle, but I get a lot of pushback on that one. Mainly from old people.

I love both Use Your Illusions -- Estranged might be the best GnR song of all. Hate what I've heard of Chinese Democracy, which admittedly isn't a lot.

My recollection is baseball banned him for life. Once he's dead, the ban is gone, right?

Seems to me that believing Pete Rose should be in the HoF is not an unpopular opinion at all. I think it's the majority opinion.
Personally, I think he should stay out, even posthumously.
All of his accomplishments stand. None of his stats or records have been stricken.
He is recognized in baseball history, but he should never be in the HoF.

I think I should be allowed to hit someone with my car who is crossing the street in front of me and is either not in a cross walk or in a cross walk but when they don't have the light. Not hard. Just enough to take them off their feet and encourage them not to do it again.

I think once you hit a certain age, you should have to take a driving test every year.

Re: Napoleon Dynamite ... I think I only enjoyed it because I had to spend several weekends in southeast Idaho for work, thus I got the quirkiness of the whole thing. I can completely understand why others find it unfunny.

go on YouTube and listen to the whole album when you get a chance. Catcher in the Rye, IRS and the title track are great, IMHO. Some of the other stuff seems dated, though, and would have played better if the album had been released much earlier.

    Pearl Jam blows.

American Beauty is a stunningly awful film.

MASH sucked, every period of it. Maybe the McLean Stevenson period not so much, but when Alan Alda took control it was awful. I hate being lectured.

    He was getting meta.
By expressing that Pete Rose being in the HoF was an unpopular opinion, he was sharing the unpopular opinion that PR's HoF candidacy is unpopular!
He's operating on a different level than the rest of us :D

At best, the fourth-best 1990s Seattle band after Alice In Chains, Soundgarden and Nirvana.

My college roommate was thrilled by the FFA references.

And as for Rose, what made mine 'unpopular' was the relatively nuanced opinion that his eligibility should not start until his death. The Hall is a museum, but by doing it this way, Rose cannot have the pride of the accomplishment.
