Not kidding. I'm watching the 5 pm news and holy fuck. Lead story is the city breaking its homicide record with the 214th murder of the year. A few minutes later comes a story about kids at an apartment complex finally getting a dedicated bus route to their elementary school, and at the start of the piece they casually mention it happened after an 11-year-old was raped walking to school last week. A story on how the Salvation Army is helping the community leads with B-roll footage from the summer of a couple passed out on a downtown street from a heroin overdose. I mean, I'm from Birmingham and even I think this is fucked up.

I wind up rooting for Europe during the Ryder Cup. Well, except for Sergio.

I like MLS more than EPL or any Euro leagues because the players are less technically gifted so the game is more wide open. Soccer purists who look down on MLS can PFO.
