In the Netherlands, it took seven people to demonstrate just how crappy this referee was.

Another lousy soccer ref who got what he deserved:

I used to ref/ump a lot of hockey and baseball when I was in high school and college and for this reason it's not the coaches you worry about, it's the PARENTS. The coaches will ball bust you and bully you and treat you like crap, but they'll never touch you because their dreams of living vicariously through Junior will disappear in a heartbeat.

The parents? It's a different story. Because they're not coaching and they don't have that "skin in the game," the nutjobs and whackjobs will lose it. Thankfully, I never had anything truly scary happen to me, but I had at least a handful of occasions of parents confronting me in the parking lot or entering the ref's locker room (for hockey), angry because I didn't call a major on the guy who cross checked Johnny from behind into the boards, or because I gassed her husband during the first game of an all day tournament and the guy had to leave the property the entire day. You also have to watch out for the moms because when they get loose, they get loose because they think they can get away with it.

Are we sure the ref is really dead? Are we sure he didn't get grazed by the punch, flail his arms out and scream as he fell to the ground like he was shot?

Just trying to take some of the heat off Devil.

Unless you have blown a whistle with a shitty ref, people have no idea what they are talking about.

Any time you are on a crew in hoops, soccer, baseball, and one guy sucks and blows calls, you are going to take shit all fucking night. Good crews almost never take real heat.

If you're reffing a game with others, and you can't spot the one guy on the crew who sucks, then you are the one who sucks.

You don't have to be the best ref on your crew, but you don't want to be the slowest when the murderous mob chases y'all.

If you can't tell which repair man is ripping you off, then the one you hired is ripping you off.

There's no originality here, so it's just not funny.

Besides, by fixing machines promptly, and thoroughly, on my first visit, I save my customers money.
