RIP Ryan O’Neal

I don't remember seeing him in anything after Irreconcilable Differences and if I did I didn't pay attention.

He seems like he was at his best in the late '60s early '70s.

From his son Patrick's Instagram post regarding Ryan and longtime partner Farrah Fawcett.

"Ryan never bragged. But he has bragging rights in Heaven. Especially when it comes to Farrah. Everyone had the poster, he had the real McCoy. And now they meet again. Farrah and Ryan. He has missed her terribly. What an embrace that must be. Together again."

Same with Ali McGraw, his sexy girlfriend in one of the original chick flicks, "Love Story."

She had a bigger career as a cover girl than an actress.

Had a string of box-office smashes and then an equally long streak of bombs. The Theme from Love Story has been my ear worm since I read this news. That was a chick movie before the term was ever coined. Ali McGraw was preppy coed hot.

Handsome enough, despite starting out as a decent amateur boxer, to land some serious 6s but the temptations of drugs and a temper ruined most of his relationships.

Imagine hearing this "want to come over and see my step mom Farrah?"!!

One of those actors, who seemed almost bound by his looks - perfect in the light comedy stuff, but struggled in darker movies.

His scenes with his daughter in that movie were pure comic gold.

"I want my $300!!!"

"I don't have your $300 and you know it."

"Then git it!!"
