2024 Rock & Roll HOF screechfest

If you had your own hidden copy so you could get more than sneak peeks, it was the only porn mag you had and you were 14 or 15 at the time, believe you me, you would remember a lot more than the Vanessa Williams stuff ...

The Playboy issue from the same time period, with the old pics of a younger Madonna in black and white, however, was disappointing. My friend's dad had a copy, my friend and I took sneak peeks and that's all I remember of that issue.

I remember the Madonna ones vividly, unfortunately. The armpit hair frightened me. I also thought she'd be more well endowed, based on her videos. So that was disappointing to a 15-ish-year-old.

And yeah, had that been my only mag, I'm sure it would be burned into my memory, much like the Bo Derek Playboy was.

HOF is meaningless.
No Ozzy or Foreigner but Sinead O'Connor is nominated this year.

Future Rock Legends, the Pro Football Reference of the RRHOF, has its prediction (formal announcement is Sunday night during American Idol):

Kool & the Gang
Cher
Foreigner
Peter Frampton
Tribe Called Quest
Sinead O'Connor
Lenny Kravitz

Just a profoundly meh group, in my eyes.

If that's the list they should hold the induction ceremony at a county fair just so they all feel in their element.

Frampton will never be discussed among the great British guitar Gods of his time (not should he be) and his whole RRHOF candidacy is built around a handful of tracks on Frampton Comes Alive. Pretty flimsy way to get in.

If you are best known for a 30 second portion of a song in which you used a voice modulator, you should not be in the hall of fame.
