    Tap is right. How long does it take to post a story with 3-4 paragraphs so you can have a link in the tweet that breaks the news? Even if it's 15-20 minutes, usually it's seen as too long to take on the risk of another reporter having it first. You do that only with something you get that nobody...

    They've diluted the brand beyond repair. There are still great writers at SI, but they appear on the same website as unpaid/underpaid local bloggers who post unedited copy reacting to other outlets' news. It's sad to see.

    Double Down is absolutely correct. Every beat has a handful of guys who just hang out, talk to players in clubhouse/locker room, never write or post audio clips. Once you have a credential, if you're not actively breaking rules, really hard to lose a credential.
