Job Description: The Abilene Reporter-News is searching for a sports multimedia journalist responsible for covering mostly sports stories in and around the area, as they happen or after the fact, with acute awareness of the immediacy of digital-first, on-demand journalism. The multimedia journalist should be adept at both hard news and features, seeking opportunities to bring stories home to our audience on a variety of platforms The multimedia journalist will be highly proficient in one form of storytelling, such as writing or photojournalism, but also will become proficient in a second form. That said, the multimedia journalist is expected to learn to be capable of both writing and still/video photography as circumstances dictate.

Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BS/BA in news/media discipline or equivalent experience.
One or more years of experience in a related field, or multiple professional news internships. Recent college graduates will be considered, but professional experience is preferred.
