Anybody on here from (or familiar with) the state of Michigan?

I know someone who has to make the drive between Flint and Lansing this coming weekend for a business trip.

What's the ride like on I-69?

Anything cool along the way, or pretty much a snoozer?

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

short.. maybe an hour... like all michigan freeways, bone jarring -- but farmland nondescript.

Wish I could help but I rarely leave Detroit. My field trip to the Springsteen rally in Ypsi was a big day out for me.

Familiar? I heard it has two parts with a big lake between them.

Like Wisconsin, Michigan doesn't mind forking a deer on occasion.

As sir slappy said, it's a pretty damn boring, nondescript run that takes about an hour, give or take. Hardest thing to do is remain awake, though continuously reading aloud the I-69 signs may cause a giggle the first hundred or so times...

To pass the time, residents try to come up with a different person at every mile marker that they'd rather have instead of Rich Rodriguez.

I-69 may be the worst expressway of them all. I can't think of anyplace I would stop along that route. No big cities. Nothing spectacular. Obviously Lansing is five min from Spartan Stadium; and the MSU campus. May be worth a look.
