Went back to the office for the first time since my heart surgery five months ago. It was a little overwhelming both physically and mentally.

Any advice/suggestions that you good people would like to share.

Here's part of the plan.
* No football live for now. Too darn hot.
* Mostly feature and static copy the first couple of weeks. We had two Olympians so that'll be a nice write.

Hope all is well with all of you

Congratulations, man. Glad to hear you're getting back up and around.
I'd suggest easing back into things and doing what you can. Keep yourself occupied, but don't take on too much. Treat it like you're coming back from a long vacation until you're comfortable enough and strong enough to do more.

Glad to hear you're back.

I know it's cliche, but really, just take it one step at a time. Don't overdo it.

Great news!

As far as advice, I'd just say that ashuming the people around you will be supportive and willing to pitch in and help you ease back in, let them. Lean on your people.

Just glad to hear you're back in business.

Tip from the weekend -- avoid Portapottys at any outdoor event. You may pash out before you get out of it.

Awesome news, Dan. You've earned a perspective to not be bothered by anything in a newsroom anymore. Freedom!
