Does the Heisman matter anymore?

Burrow's LSU team played some great opponents in 2019, too, but they beat them all. I don't think you should ever judge quarterback solely or even mostly by their team's record, but that deserves some consideration. Burrow also threw for 20 more touchdowns and nearly 2,000 more yards. Of course, Daniels did a heck of a lot more as a runner.

I thought both were a lot of fun to watch, but I don't think Daniels was as good this year as 2019 Burrow. He certainly wasn't better.

Speaking as an LSU fan/alum, Joe Burrow is easily on the Mount Rushmore of LSU football players and ain't getting bumped any time soon. Probably the most beloved LSU player since Billy Cannon.
People like Jayden Daniels, he's a great player and a good guy by all accounts, but I don't know if he's at that level, Heisman or not.

Burrow's team was kind of a load. He got the very most out of it, and that matters . The rest of Daniels' team, wideouts excepted, wasn't as good. He got a lot out of it, though, .Do I think Daniels is as good as Burrow at the same stage of their careers? No. But he's worth a first round draft choice for sure.
