Erin Andrews interviews Larry Coker

Anyone see Erin Andrews interview Larry Coker after Miami beat BC, 17-14, tonight?

She asked some hard-hitting questions about his future, and he responded to everyone stoicly and never got mad. I can't say I agree with whether he should remain the coach, but at least he kept a level head.

And good for Erin Andrews proving she's not just a pretty face out there.

Maybe so, but Andrews was worse than a desperate farmer trying to pump a cow. Ask the question once and be done with it.

Credit to Larry Coker, though. Every interview I've seen with him, he's kept his cool. If Miami dumps him, they'll be sorry.

No way.

Jim Gray still wins the blue ribbon for "desperate farmer," even 7 years later.
True, but she was kinda cut from the same cloth; ask the question once and end it when he doesnt bite. dont ask it 3 different ways

Considering she was recently ripped on here for being fluff with no value, it's pretty amazing to see some arguing now that she was too tough with Coker. It wasn't just the same question over and over. He mentioned he'd meet with Shalala, she asked him if he knew when that meeting would occur. Asking what he'd be saying to recruits was a variation on the theme, but a legit question as well.

The one time I saw her in person, at the LL World Series ... well, I was blown away.

I was not saying she was being too tough. I thought the questions were appropriate. I was mostly pointing out that Coker kept a level head.

Never claimed she was fluff here. But in a presser, one media member doesn't get the variations on a theme.

To be fair, if Coker had been abrasive, vague and/or terse, I could have seen the point. But Coker answered the question, and Andrews' poor attempt at variations on a theme or rehashing the same point wasn't as good as youlre making it out to be.

And NO ONE is as bad as Jim Gray. Don't give me that "hard-hitting journalist" bullsh_t with him, either. The way he Hoovers up to Kobe is enough to barf up eight years' worth of Thanksgiving meals.
