Job Responsibilities

Key competencies include:
 The ability to grow and develop staff into top performers and groom them as future leaders
 Foster idea generation in an effort to utilize data in the most effective and creative forms across all ESPN platforms, including TV, the Internet and Mobile Publishing.
 Oversee the formation of data warehouses, a rich source of content that allows colleagues and the public to find the most interesting and accurate data for all sports
 Develop new methods of tracking statistics and new varieties of statistics
 Identify trends that should be explored and pushed to S&A content clients within ESPN
 Ensure the accuracy of data in a live, deadline environment for TV and New Media

Prior management experience is critical, as developing and growing direct reports is a primary function of this job. This


The Senior Manager of Integrity will report to the Senior Director of Prep & Research and will oversee a staff of Managers and Stats Researchers who will make up the Integrity Team. The Integrity Team will work around the clock to ensure that ESPN data is always accurate in real-time, in postgame reports and in season-to-date formats.


Required Qualifications

A qualified candidate will have at least 4-7 years of experience working with statistics, preferably in online, television or print sports. Team management experience is a plus. Must have excellent knowledge about scorekeeping and statistical record-keeping for most sports. Should have demonstrated ability to set goals and to hold staff accountable for meeting those goals. Meticulous attention to detail a must. Should have a working understanding of data formats, language and the processes necessary to provide them to end users. Also must have demonstrated excellence working with multiple departments to achieve a common goal.
