Being a recent Michigan student, Chuck has never had the fortune to experience the NCAA basketball tournament. In fact, since his pree-teen years....
Perhaps one day, if the Wolverines are ever selected over the rest of the bubble teams like Southern Illinois or Old Dominion or Appalachian State, he will get to know that it is a wonderful event indeed.

Tommy Amaker plays to win the game.

If that's playing to win, he needs to rethink his strategy against teams schools that aren't a direction or have a hyphen

Overlooked enjoyable sporting events:

NCAA baseball regionals

Wimbledon or the Winter Olympics.

We've got local guys who ski, etc. And I was raised on Wimbledon. That was the first real sporting event I remember paying rapt attention to as a child.

That sums up my trip to Europe last year. I attended the Winter Olympics and after touring many other Euro countries, part of one of my four days in London was making the trek to tour Wimbledon and the All-England Club. It was cold, windy and rainy at the club in early March.

For the purpose of this thread:

NHL - Cup finals
PGA - Any of the majors as well as SoCal events
NFL - When the Vikings make the Super Bowl
MLB - When the Colorado Rockies make the playoffs
College football - Div. I playoffs (this will move up when it actually happens)
College hockey - Frozen Four
College baseball - Cal State Fullerton in the CWS
College hoops - First weekend of the NCAA Tournament (while watching it in Vegas)

:D :)
True, they friggin' suck this year.
In fact, the only reason I'm still showing loyalty to them is because a good friend of mine from HS is on the team.
