Graduating in May: When to apply?

Hey guys,

I just had a quick question you established or prospective hiring editors. I'm graduating in May 2012, and I wanted to know when is the best time to start applying for jobs?

I figured around mid-late February, but that's just my uneducated guess.

Glad I stumbled upon this website. It looks like a terrific resource.

December. I applied for a job in January and was hired in in the beginning of March and didn't start until May 1.

This was several years ago, but if you have the talent, editors might wait.
