I would stay up to watch Late Night with Jimmy

I hope NBC is serious about hiring Jimmy Fallon to replace Conan O'Brien (who takes over Leno's spot).

Fallon would be a great at late night talk and he was always one of my favs on SNL.

What does everyone else think?

I thought you were talking about Kimmell. I think he's funnier than Leno (who isn't...) and is consistently better than Letterman, who seems to be phoning it in a bit...

Jon Stewart is still the king...

Why ABC hasn't put Craig Kilborn or Jon Stewart on is beyond me.

You knew Kilborn couldn't exist being on after Letterman, just like whoever replaces Conan will fail, and just like Ferguson, (funny as he is) will fail.

First talk show of the night always does the best.

NBC has Fallon under contract where he agrees not to sign any other late-night deals until after 2009. Obviously the plan is to move Conan to 11:30 and put him on afterwards, but it will be interesting to see if the unfunny one actually quits The Tonight Show in 2009 as promised...

NBC will fork it up...

Kimmel's terrible.
Leno's the worst.
Letterman's good, but I just don't watch that oftne anymore.
I used to like O'Brien, but he bugs the crap out of me anymore.
Fallon would be dreadful, although probably not as bad as Carson Daly.
Ferguson's interviews can be quite good, but they're too short.
Kilborn was great on 'The Daily Show,' but his late night talk show was awful.
Stewart will leave 'The Daily Show' in two years.

I know he got off to a dreadfully slow start, but Kimmel's show is 1,000 times better than it used to be...

I read somewhere that he was the only late night guy to be improving in the ratings... I'm sure he started quite low, but that still says something...

Not even if you paid me in Beckham forks would I watch Jimmy Fallon host anything.

David Beckham's deck just called. He's pleading that Jimmy Fallon stay perpetually unemployed.
