Saw the AP story of this last night, but here's the St. Pete Times version from the PGA Tour's PODS Championship near Tampa. Is a little more too the point and has a Gruden quote:

Bucs coach Jon Gruden was hanging out in the Hooters Owl's Nest Club behind the 17th green when rain suspended play at Innisbrook.

His friend John Daly joined him during the delay then suggested Gruden carry his bag when play resumed. Gruden took over on the 13th hole and caddied through the first, Daly's 10th.

He was 3 over when darkness halted the first round but was only 1 over with Gruden on the bag. Daly will have his regular caddie, Peter Van Der Riet, today.

“I can't believe how heavy the bag is,” Gruden said. “It was an amazing experience.”

As tiresome as caddying might be, I think with the right golfer, it would be an amazing insight for a day.
