I don't get up to this forum much, but sometimes I see a story, you know? I had never heard about this.

 
That was interesting. It's one of those things that you never think about. Everyone knows about JFK's funeral, but nobody ever talks about the other guy's funeral in one of the biggest stories of the 20th century.
 
Writers would be fired if they served as pallbearers for a guy who killed the president nowadays. Or inserted themselves into any story.
 
1. If someone would get fired for being a pallbearer at any funeral where there simply wasn't an alternative, they work for an organization that thinks too highly of itself.
2. If it happened today, the journalists would have live tweeted the walk from funeral coach to the grave.
