He's the boyfriend. OTOH, he used to be a mechanic (or at the very least he has a lot of skills) but he hurt his back and is now working as some kind of engineer. She just built him a truck, took an old Ford truck that was a mine truck for years, cleaned it up and refurbed it and then dropped a Cummins diesel into it.You won't get him doing much on camera, maybe helping a bit once in a while when she needs an extra pair of hands. Ditto Angel (AKA Angel Foodcake), the young Hispanic guy you see once in a while. He used to be an unpaid/barely paid intern. Now he has his own little channel and he pops up from time to time.

I'll check out coldwarmotors. Do you know Ian Roussell at Full Custom Ian? He had his own TV show on (I think) Discovery for eight or nine years. He's hard core, build it from scratch, let's bend some tubing, seat of the pants custom builder. He's talky and it can move a little slow, but he's a no shirt hot rod and custom car builder. He's on Youtube pretty steady.

He's seriously old school. He's a west coast builder who grew up looking at guys like Ed Roth. You have to have Discovery plus to get at his old shows, but here's a menu. You can just look at the thumbnail pictures for the various episodes and get an idea what he's about. Victor, the guy he is building the Caddy above for, is a rich Cali Hispanic guy who loves low riding customs. Ian has built at least half a dozen absolutely gorgeous customs for him.
