I get it, small town paper employees are overworked and underpaid, but this is a bad look for the Escanaba Daily Press.
But I have a feeling someone just copy/pasted this from an email and didn't think twice to read it.
Yes, apparently a teacher wrote this and was trying to be funny (they were not, in fact, funny) but this falls on the shoulders of the newspaper to not print this without questioning it.
