Nicely written by Dave Kaplan, my former editor at the NY Daily News -- and what a tale he could likely tell about those glory days.

Something I just learned: Dave Kaplan is the father of ESPN reporter Emily Kaplan. In fact, Dave is very good friends with Peter King. Emily started working for MMQB when she was 24.

Emily Kaplan was really good at MMQB. I have had some brief interactions with her, and she's impressed me as someone who does the work and is very professional.

Oh, for sure. Even since back then, I thought she was very good. Has excelled there and at ESPN.
