And Elon Musk really should shut up.
Elon Musk insists US should "really" exit NATO
Everything, clearly, is all about money for Trump and Musk, so of course Trump has floated the idea of raising the NATO countries' defense spending to 5 percent instead of the current 2 percent, even though he's already complaining about some countries not meeting the lesser benchmark.
He gives no credit, apparently, to four countries who have agreed with his arguments concerning spending in proportion to defense/protection, and no credit to eight that have, in fact, increased their defense spending. Nothing is ever enough. There is no good-faith consideration, and he keeps saying the U.S. should pull out of NATO.
I guess he keeps forgetting that all the countries in it did, in fact, come through,
to the defense of the U.S., in different ways during the only time that Article 5 was has ever been invoked. So for him to talk so openly and arrogantly about how he/the U.S. wouldn't come to the defense of a member country that wasn't paying enough (an amount which, of couse, Trump would probably think he gets to decide) is so unethical and, once again, inhumane and unforgivable.
You know, all the descriptions of Trump's actions that apply as per usual. He is sickening, and he needs to be removed from office.
