The story said that daily circulation of the Eagle was 37,000 and and 236 full-time employees. That seems like a lot of help for a paper that size.

And this paper seems to be similar to the paper in Bend, Oregon that just declared Chapter 11. They are family owned and built new offices/printing plants just in time for the great bust of 2008-2009.

I will also be interested to see if Tribune, which owns Allentown, tries to buy the Reading paper and combine operations. The Tribune sporadically tries to build clusters. They have long Newport News and just bought the Virginian-Pilot.
