So one questionable late hit and one blatantly missed face mask that should erase a fumble. Refs having a helluva second half.

Interesting comment from the replay analyst, who said "We've been trying for 15 years to get them to look at facemask or other penalties not originally called" or something like that.So one questionable late hit and one blatantly missed face mask that should erase a fumble. '72 Dolphins texting each other madly at halftime. Champagne bottles moved to front of refrigerator. Gosh it must be tiring to prep for this ritual every week for maybe months.
They have begun following the Giants' path. Minimize errors. Don't be ashamed to hide your weaknesses when game-planning. Deflate the ball (metaphorically) on offense. Depend on your opponents' forkups. This'll work enough to win a surprising amount of games. heck, it's basically what the Patriots are doing, too, except that they have a playoff caliber defense to make it work.Pretty brilliant gameplan by the Commanders last night, one that doesn't come to fruition if they don't have a guy like Brian Robinson to eat huge chunks of yards and take time off the clock. No doubt, the refs missed the heck out of that facemask, but that wasn't the reason he fumbled the ball -- it was poked out from behind.
I don't think there's any way that Wentz gets his job back. Heinicke really limited the dumb throws last night, save for the one to McLaurin in double coverage in the end zone that should have been picked. Washington is 5-5 with at Houston, vs. Atlanta and a pair with the Giants (sandwiched around the bye week) coming up. Chase Young is set to come back in Houston. There's absolutely a path to the playoffs here, especially considering they hold a one-game lead and the tiebreaker over the Packers. They'll need to go 3-1 in that stretch, minimum, which is feasible. But if you told me after 1-4 that there would be interesting football in late November, I would have taken it.
Brian Robinson averaged 3.3 yards per carry last night.Pretty brilliant gameplan by the Commanders last night, one that doesn't come to fruition if they don't have a guy like Brian Robinson to eat huge chunks of yards and take time off the clock.
Huge chunks was the wrong word choice. He kept the chains moving with first downs, though. The Commanders' average third down was like 3.8 yards, and he converted several of those third and shorts.Brian Robinson averaged 3.3 yards per carry last night.
