NFL Week 9: Calling Out Cam

Looks like nobody started the Week 9 thread yet, so I'll get it going.

The Sunday night game looks like the best one on the schedule, with the Raiders and Broncos both 6-2 heading into a game at Oakland.

Pittsburgh at Baltimore might be the best of the early games. Both teams had byes last week and both seemed to need the time off. The Ravens lost four in a row after a 3-0 start and the Steelers had dropped their last two. The Steelers also got a little healthier, with Ben Roethlisberger, Cameron Heyward and Marcus Gilbert returning to practice Monday.

The Steelers have not looked good on the road, but perhaps a return to health will be enough to turn things around. The Ravens certainly haven't looked good over the past month.

Steelers' Gilbert to Cam: 'Stop complaining'

Speaking of Gilbert, he called out Cam Newton for complaining about getting hit. While Newton does seem to take quite a few illegal hits with no call, Gilbert has a point. Roethlisberger also takes a heck of a beating and you don't see him asking to chat with Roger Goodell about it.

Eagles at Giants also looks like a good one. Both teams are 4-3, two games behind the Cowboys.

Buffalo at Seattle could be a decent Monday night game, but it's not the most attractive matchup.

The rest of the Sunday schedule is as follows.
Dallas at Cleveland
Detroit at Minnesota
Jets at Miami
Jacksonville at Kansas City
New Orleans at San Francisco
Carolina at Los Angeles
Tennessee at San Diego
Indianapolis at Green Bay

Chiefs have put Jamaal Charles on IR. Fantasy owners can finally get on with their lives.
In other running back news, the Packers brought in C.J. Spiller. The day after Halloween seems too late to dig up a corpse, but whatever floats your boat I suppose.
And the Jets signed Knile Davis, because whenever you can sign a guy who couldn't get on the field for a team with no other running backs on the roster, you've just gotta do it.

AP's reporting the Jets are cutting Davis tomorrow and signing Spiller.

The boat ain't floating.

That's what he said. Not Tomblin.
Long way to go to playoffs. They need to think big picture.
In theory Jones and Co. should beat the Ravens.

Tomlin has been lumping him in with Gilbert and Heyward, who are both going to play unless they have another injury or aggravate the old ones.

There are very few teams I would say they should beat with Jones. The Ravens are not among them.

Damn, you're right. Read that wrong. So many craptastic running backs stumbling around that I can't keep them all straight.
