No more guns. The new thing is planes.

All joking aside, this is a very serious situation. Guy who works at a rural airport shows up before the tower opens, steals a twin engine plane that's full of fuel and knows enough to take off but not enough to land. Imagine if it had been someone with real criminal intentions, like crashing into a full football stadium at Ole Miss or Mississippi State.

As somebody said later, there's a lot of little airports around the country with little to no security when they're "closed" for business. Because of that, it doesn't take much for someone to get a very lethal weapon off the ground and aimed at something important.

Remember when it happened at a much bigger airport (Seattle) a few years ago?

In the Fifties a drunk guy at a Manhattan bar on a bet stole a plane in New Jersey and landed it on the street in downtown Manhattan later that night. Later, he did it again.
