Let's be RICH together, respond ASAP!!!!!!

Location: Houston

I've heard of a few people with Boardwalk this year, seems to me Park Place must be the scarce one.

I wish. I have two...

2011 Rare Game Pieces & Prizes

For 2011, there were some changes to the rarity, the number of prizes, and what the prizes were:

Mediterranean Avenue ($50 prize, 10,000 prizes) – 1 in approx. 61,811
Vermont Avenue ($100 prize, 3000 prizes)- 1 in approx. 206,036
Virginia Avenue ($200 SpaWish® Gift Certificate, 250 prizes) – 1 in approx. 2,472,425
Tennessee Avenue (Beaches Resort Vacation, 300 prizes)- 1 in approx. 2,060,354
Kentucky Avenue ($50,000, 8 prizes) – 1 in approx. 77,263,275
Short Line Railroad (EA Sports Fan Trip, 8 prizes) – 1 in approx. 77,263,275
Ventnor Avenue ($100,000, 6 prizes) – 1 in approx. 103,017,700
Pennsylvania Avenue (SL MY 12 Nissan Leaf, 2 prizes) – 1 in approx. 309,053,100
Boardwalk ($1,000,000, 1 prize) – 1 in approx. 618,106,200

In theory, if you did have the Boardwalk piece, and it truly was the only one in the country, wouldn't you just spend all of your free time buying every McDonalds Monopoly piece until you got the Park Place one?

I don't understand why you would want to share it with anyone.

I just toss the pieces. I don't go often enough to have a chance at winning anything.

What's funny is everyone holding Park Place is willing to give those holding Boardwalk less than 50 percent of the prize.

Congrats, Boardwalk winner.

I will be happy to meet you in a dark alley in Houston. Have the game piece in your hand. I'll be wearing a ski mask, so I'll be easy to spot.

Let's get rich, sort-of together!!!!

I guess it depends on how rare Park Place is. Presumably there'd be a good number of them, but between instant win pieces and the other common pieces out there, it might take a while. And now the game is over, so if you have Boardwalk on its own, now you have to hope someome still has a Park Place to pair with it.

I'm just saying, though. If you had the Boardwalk piece, wouldn't you just focus all your time and energy on getting the Park Place one? I don't think it's that rare and, even if it is, wouldn't you be willing to spend however many French Fry orders it takes to get it?

No doubt. But it pays to have a backup plan. You'd hate not to have a Plan B if you get an unrelenting string of Baltic Avenues and B&O Railroads.
