RIP Bill Buchalter

Worked with him for five years. Anything positive you heard about him wasn't enough. Ahead of his time when it came to recruiting, and an even better man.

I started my career in Leesburg and crossed paths with Bill several times. RIP to a giant.

Also one of the few high school writers who care more than just about football and basketball. When some kid won a race in the state high school track meet, Buchalter likely had seen him in an AAU meet the summer before.
Was the first guy I knew of who had a 900 recruiting hotline. I'd like to think he made some money out of that.
