RIP Crazy Joe Davola

I think the low point was the very first season. It was mostly awkward and awful, with no footing at all, with the notable exception of The Stakeout episode.

Also, wasn't the Bizarro Jerry episode in one of the later seasons? That is a classic.

I remember an interview with Larry David and he stated he left because he had no more ideas.

The criticism of the change in the show is interesting. But, I don't find that change to be all that bad. It was still funny, just in a different way. It had some talent writing for the show.

What I remember from watching the show when it was first on tv, and the same with the Simpsons, was being impressed by how the show could have 2 or 3 storylines and tie them all together. At the end of episodes, I would think "That was only 23 minutes?" Especially The Simpsons.

Season 8 episode with Elaine's Bizarro friends/Jerry dating man hands/Kramer working in the office/George dating a model was a top caliber episode.
