Part of the reason why the Yankees went to so many World Series after WW2 is because the other American League teams had morons for ownership. The Browns should have gone ahead and moved to Los Angeles, Griffith was a tightwad, Briggs and Yawkey were racists, and Arnold Johnson ran the A's as a Yankees farm team. Only the Indians and White Sox seemed to care.
