RIP Roger E. Mosley

Yeah, when I first saw the headline, I just figured it was old age.
One of my favorite shows growing up.

RIP

A funny story ... he was a licensed chopper pilot, but the "Magnum, P.I." showrunners had a stunt double fly that probably needed a body suit as Mosley was not a small guy.

Also had to make clear to the writers that his character wasn't going to run around drunk and messed up because he didn't want to perpetuate a stereotype or set a bad example for Blacks. Good for him. Good for all of us.

Underrated if the word could ever be used. Also, said a lot that as stiff as Jonathan Quail Higgins' character was that he had no problem with TC calling him "Higgie Baby." Higgins wouldn't have let anyone else, especially Magnum, get away with that.

RIP, good sir and Thank You.

Mr. Mosely was the late, great Ray Liotta's partner in the Kurt Russell flick "Unlawful Entry," and Madelyn Stowe was stunning as always. Liotta's corrupt cop was a psycho and a half. I'll spare you the details. Rest in peace, Mr. Mosley.

He was also an assistant track and field coach at Monrovia High in Socal, per California Track and Field News.

I had no idea he was that old. He was early- to mid-fortiee during the show. Also, a little on the older side for Vietnam
