Liberal: Three issues a week? WTF? That paper should be doing 5-6 days and have something like a 6,000 circulation. What the heck happened there?

They went to 3 times a week around two months ago. They print our weekly and two weeks ago I guess the publisher took 20 + employees with him to start his own paper in Liberal.

Sounds like southwest Kansas is the Bermuda triangle for sports.

Garden City: No sports editor for what, 6-8 months?

Dodge City: Nobody left.

Liberal: Seeking McDonald's employees who want to make a parallel job shift.

Oh god. It's true. I'd imagine it's rather difficult to get mid-level management out to southwest Kansas these days. Well, good mid-level management anyway. Odds are Garden is going to be down another reporter here in a few weeks.

So I went back for a wedding, and I discovered they are losing another reporter and several people on the ad side. The whole place is going downhill seemingly.
