Ok sorry to drag this back up.

What is so bad about CNHI? All I know is they offer crappy pay.

I was offered the #2 position here last July and turned it down because it only paid 8.00 an hour. I turned it down for that and other reasons.

But the SE seemed like a really cool guy. I wonder what happened to him? Maybe he couldn't fill that #2 position and got fed up being a one man show?

did you get a chance to meet the publisher? what was he like?

Well he was kind of a wirey little guy. He seemed like the type that worked himself to the bone. Which is a departure from my current publisher who does nothing but look at the budget.
I think the main problem was that it was a cheap place. They wouldn't hire a photographer and they were only willing to pay his No. 2 chump change.

reevaluate your response.

Damaramu, it seems like your current publisher is on the CNHI fast track. Get out of his/her way before he/she steps on you.

Yeah he should really go work for CNHI.
He's a Morris guy through and through......but now we're Gatehouse.....so go figure. I don't know anything about Gatehouse though.

Oh and TP. Yeah I know what I said kind of seemed weird. Yeah the CNHI guy was all about the budget too but he did other things it seemed. I was told by the SE that he worked all the time.
My publisher now kind of does nothing for the good part of the day.

i doubt if the SE's statement was a compliment.

I don't know what's worse.

A publisher who doesn't give two f..ks about the newsroom and will slice it and dice it when they miss their target.

Or a publisher who is way too involved and is a micromanager.
