What is the best comic book movie?

It's hard to vote against The Dark Knight.

Endgame is great, but Infinity War is better. I almost count those as one movie, and if that's the case, it's a clear No. 1.

Superman II used to be the correct answer, but has been since surpassed several times. It's probably still top 10.

I feel like there has to be a Spider-Man flick thrown in for consideration, but I'm torn between No Way Home and Into The Spiderverse.

Endgame was a heck of an accomplishment. Sticking the landing there seemed like an impossible task, but they pulled it off. That said, the movie has some serious flaws. It is among my favorite movies ever to watch, but you just have to turn your brain off at many points in the story. Some of the fan service is fantastic, such as Captain America wielding Mjolnir, but stuff like the hero shot with all the female heroes was truly cringe-worthy. I get the idea behind it, but it was just such blatant pandering. They already had some great hero moments for female characters, such as Wanda vs. Thanos.

Haven't seen it yet. It's on my Disney + list, but the time I have to dedicate to R-rated movies is sparse.

Plus, I've never been a huge fan of X-Men.

That absolutely makes sense, but it's really not an X-Men movie. The story is strong and the performances by Jackman, Stewart, and Daphne Keen are just fantastic.

I don't think either of those are contenders for the top spot, but you could argue for both in the top 10. No Way Home relies on fan service, but they do it so damn well. Garfield just kills it, and he, Holland, and Maguire play off one another very well.

Into the Spiderverse has some silly moments and a couple of really dark ones, but it is just so different from the other comic book movies. It takes tremendous advantage of being animated with some very creative visuals. There is a good story, but it is the visuals and sound that make it stand out.

I figured I'd take a stab at two lists, one ranking them as most enjoyable and the other focusing on the higher-quality movies. Endgame may be the most enjoyable, but others are higher quality. Logan is high quality, but not exactly fun. I've watched it more than once, but that shirt is depressing.

Most enjoyable

1. Avengers: Endgame
2. Avengers
3. Spider-Man: No Way Home
4. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
5. Iron Man
6. Batman Begins
7. The Dark Knight
8. Avengers: Infinity War
9. Guardians of the Galaxy
10. Logan

Best quality
1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
2. Logan
3. The Dark Knight
4. Batman Begins
5. Avengers (This is the template for how to do a team-up movie)
6. Avengers: Infinity War
7. Spider-Man: No Way Home (Tighter script and a better job with the fan service)
8. Iron Man
9. Avengers: Endgame (They had to accomplish so much and basically pulled it off.
10. Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse - so creative and different

I think it's funny how the Raimi Spider-Man movies have basically been forgotten at this point.

I wouldn't say forgotten. I would have put Spider-Man 2 at No. 11 or 12 on my most enjoyable list. I thought about putting it ahead of Logan. I think the villain puts it ahead of the first one. The look of Doctor Octopus was better and I think Molina's performance was excellent. There have just been so many of these. Maybe I let recency bias cloud my judgement.

I think they haven't aged well and time has exposed them as a little too cheesy for modern audiences.
