Well, this is comforting ... and not at all surprising.

As for the worst job of 2013? Newspaper reporter bumped last year's loser, lumberjack, for the ignominious distinction.

Lumberjacks dress better.

Actuary was number one. The ratings obviously do not include boredom as a negative factor. Reporting is not dull, not always, anyway.

Just because you might find a particular job boring (or exciting) does not mean that others would.

Actuary being the best job is not a surprise. Have heard that from various sources for the past 20 years.

You can't get a source on the record to praise actuaries? What are you CNN?

"Actor" is No. 197? WTF?

Also, it's because of reporters like the one quoted in the last two grafs that salaries and working conditions will not improve.
Actors never expected to make a living at it anyway? ;)

Anecdotal sources, so yes, I am CNN.

Covering high school lacrosse >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> being an actuary.

For a living? Or for one day?

I was being silly.

I don't really even know what an actuary does, but I do know I'd pick that 100 times out of 100 over going back to journalism.

Ever read of an actuary named in a news story or going crazy and killing a bunch of co-workers, except for Mark Linn-Baker on the right, who portrayed an actuary in Law & Order:Criminal Intent.
