Strange names

My wife works with a woman whose first name is Kelly and she married a man with the last name Kelly.

Kelly Kelly

There was a fairly prominent volleyball player in the 90s named Allen Allen.
And a dumbass columnist in Denver covered a pre-Olympics match and the first time he mentioned this guy he added parenthetically (his parents stuttered).

FC Dallas used to have a defender named George John whose father's first name is John.

In my youth, the mother of one of the kids I was in school with was named Pearline Pearlstine (yes, it rhymed).

And in my current job, there's a member of our association named George Mammarella. His wife's name? Della.

The All-SEC women's basketball name team (off current rosters):
Khadijah Carter (Alabama), Khadijah West (Arkansas), Khadijah Sessions (South Carolina)
Neydja Petithomme (Auburn)
Isis Young (Florida. Also on Homeland Security no-fly list)
Hannahkohl Almire (Georgia)
Batouly Camara (Kentucky)
Raigyne Moncrief (LSU)
Precious Person (Ole Miss)
Jazzmun Holmes and Jazmine Spears (both from Miss. State)
Curtyce Knox (Texas A&M)

Coach: Shimmy Gray-Miller (Florida assistant coach)

And you could have a separate All-SEC apostrophe team:
C'Coreia Foy (Alabama)
A'Queen Hayes (Ole Miss)
A'ja Wilson (South Carolina)Marqu'es Webb (Vandy)
Rayte'a Long (Vandy)

Speaking of apostrophes, Florida State had a wide receiver in the 1990s named 'OMar Ellison. That is correct: apostrophe before the first letter of the name, the O and the M capitalized and the a and the r lower-case. FSU beat writers would get a phone call from his mother if they screwed that up in any way.

From roughly the same era of Virginia basketball was Elton Brown. That doesn't seem so strange, except his roommate was a cousin who played football also named Elton Brown.

Went to high school with a girl name Candy Barr. She was a blonde who loved tight pants. The football team lined up to watch her catch the bus before practice.
