Obscure sports trivia

OK, NOW the hockey trivia follow-up.

Who were the first NHL players to be criminally charged over a brawl on the ice?

damn it, I know this. My mind keeps going to Dino Ciccarelli after he hit Luke Richardson, but it sounds like you are looking for guys from a fight.

On Sept. 2, 1969, the St. Louis Blues were playing the Boston Bruins in an exhibition game when bruins defenseman "Terrible" Ted Green got into a stick-swinging melee with Blues winger Wayne Maki. Green took a stick to his head, fracturing his skull and injuring his brain. Both men were charged with assault but later acquitted.
Maki died of a brain tumor five years later at the age of 29. Green played until 1979, when he went on coach with the Oilers and Rangers.

Only once in NBA history has a team played just five players in a game. Name that team.
Rochester Royals?

Syracuse Nationals?

Fort Wayne Pistons?

Providence Steam Rollers?

St. Louis Hawks?

Just throwing shirt at the wall, and it's fun to type in those old franchise names that illustrate how minor-league the original NBA was.
