    Is this a headline?

I see your points about questions. I think in the right situations, they can be used in headlines. I just have a problem with a headline that says, "Pass on the run?" and the drop head states local team does not plan to abandon the run even though it can pass very well. So we answered the...

    Is this a headline?

Question headlines: Are they good or bad? I cannot stand them and a colleague said it best, "Headlines and stories provide answers not questions." Are there any rules to follow on this topic?

    Holy crap! That was...

Jean Louisa Kelly is on a roll (Or is it role in this case). She had a part in the latest "Burn Notice" episode this week.

She is also the teenager in Uncle Buck.

    Holy crap! That was...

Bill Bellamy of MTV vj days -- back when it played videos 23 hours of the day -- was a cabbie in a "Royal Pains" episode two weeks ago.

Deadliest Catch - Season Five Running Thread

Say what you want about the Time Bandit captains, but Jonathan stayed at the hospital and watched over the Harris boys in their time of need when he could have left for his mini vacation. That says a lot to me.

To you ... we throw the torch (2010 sj.com CFB poll has a new owner)

Re: Futbol's dead; long live football (2010 SportsJournalists.com CFB poll seeks voters) How do you vote on the first couple of ballots: Who do you think will win the national title or who looked the best that week? Just curious.

    Burn Notice on USA

I have to say with Burn Notice, Royal Pains, Psych, White Collar and Covert Affairs (premiere in a couple of weeks) I will watch USA shows than most main TV shows. Burn Notice: Since 24 expired, this is my favorite show. The addition of the fourth guy I thought was going to be hard to do but...

    Parent Politics

The zone would work in the first half but then the other team would figure it out and start throwing passes to the opposite block and it was an easy layup because our guys "forgot" to drop down to cover it. My biggest issue is Parent A didn't like someone questioning what he was doing. If...

    Parent Politics

Why do parents have to be involved in youth sports? I know I will never get the answer to that question but here is the scene: Parent A: Very nice man, great family and a good coach. He coaches my son's basketball team and he is very encouraging to the boys. Shows them the fundamentals and I am...

    BCS leagues expanding - yeah?

I have heard the Maryland chatter too. However, if Delany wants ND (and all signs say that he still does) the Big Ten will have to take at least one school from the Big East. Rutgers, Pitt, Syracuse???? Rutgers/Syracuse/Maryland then Notre Dame. That may be the scenario a few years from now...

    BCS leagues expanding - yeah?

Pope, Does that league get a BCS bid? I like the scenario but I am not sure the heavyweights see it as a big boy conference. And the Chicago Tribune's Greenstein had today that the Pac-10 wants to have 2 automatic berths into BCS games if it gets 16 teams, the Mountain West looks better to me.

    BCS leagues expanding - yeah?

I don't think the Big 12 will be around. I think the vacuum is started and Kansas is going to be left to clean out the lockers.

    BCS leagues expanding - yeah?

If the Aggies bolt to the SEC, who else does the SEC grab? Clemson? I think some teams (such as Florida State) would be blocked by SEC East teams -- not sure but I thought a post here suggested that. Who knows but like other posters here, it is June 11th and college football dominates the talk...

    BCS leagues expanding - yeah?

When I lived in the SEC area, my cable provider at the time ran SEC games of the week (Florida/The Citadel, Tennessee/Tenn.Chattanooga, etc.) instead of the Notre Dame game on the NBC channel. GGGRRR. What is the feeling here -- Any chance ND joins the Big Ten?
