Said bastardized B12 / ACC / Big East amalgam shall consist of:

MASON DIVISION:
Cincinnati
Connecticut
Iowa State
Kansas State
Louisville
Missouri
Notre Dame
Syracuse

DIXON DIVISION:
Clemson
South Florida
North Carolina
North Carolina State
Virginia
Florida State
Miami
West Virginia

Changes:
Kansas to the Pac 16.

Georgia Tech — to B10 (AAU member)
Duke — to B10 (AAU member)
Pittsburgh — to B10 (ditto)
Rutgers — to B10 (ditto)
That's 16 for the B10.

Virginia Tech — to SEC
Wake Forest — to SEC
Baylor — to SEC (because West needs a Vandy)
Texas A&M — to SEC (because West needs a Miss Sta ... aw damn)

Bada boom, bada bing. Too forking easy.

That's a terrible idea. The Big 10 is going for home runs. Duke is not a home run. GT is not a home run.

The Big 10 already has its home run with the Children of the Corn.

The Carolina schools aren't splitting up.

The scenario on the ground may dictate otherwise.

I can see a scenario where State or Wake wanders off, though highly unlikely. But there's no way Duke and Carolina split.

I know events are happening fast and furious, but did my alma mater of Maryland fold over the weekend, or did you merely forget them?

Does anyone know if any conference other than the Big 12 had an uneven distribution of $$$?

I'm pretty sure the Big 10 is equal. I don't know about any of the others. I can't imagine Florida and Bama would be happy about giving Vanderbilt an equal share.

Even split all around (TV money, bowls, NCAAs, etc.). Florida and Bama don't care about splitting evenly with Vandy because they make enough on their own.

There's been some talk of Big Ten interest (and vice versa) in Maryland.

If the ACC started to wobble and there was still an open slot, I could see it making sense.

I have heard the Maryland chatter too. However, if Delany wants ND (and all signs say that he still does) the Big Ten will have to take at least one school from the Big East. Rutgers, Pitt, Syracuse???? Rutgers/Syracuse/Maryland then Notre Dame. That may be the scenario a few years from now.

There are a lot of hurdles for Big Ten schools to jump (rearrange schedules for one) for Nebraska to be up and running in a year.

Heard the Houston chronicle is reporting a&m to the SEC is a done deal. Can someone with a less shirtty mobile device than mine post the link?
