Just checked. Been since 2007 since I last logged in. Been fortunate since then in my SoFla shop. Not much chatter about Lansing State Journal. I heard the sports editor lost his job, and that hits me hard. He was there at the start of my career 25 years ago.

I'm in Hour 5 digesting the news, chatting with former collegues, taking cell calls, answering email.
Nothing more to add except I plan on sitting at the bar stool at 6 p.m., and drinking until I fall over.
